The Logan County Weed Board offers spring cost share towards any chemicals recommended in the current ND Weed Control Guide for control of leafy spurge, spotted knapweed, yellow toadflax, houndstongue, wormwood*, Canada thistle*, or palmer amaranth. Pasture & rangeland reimbursement is available at 80% of the chemical cost, and roadside & right-of-way reimbursement is available at 100% of the chemical cost. Cost-share reimbursements apply to the amount of chemical used, not the amount purchased, with a limit of $24 per acre. A calendar year maximum reimbursement of $5,000 per producer applies for all cost shares. No cost-share is available for labor**, cropland, or CRP applications.
*Canada thistle and wormwood control is offered with a limit of $500.
**Palmer Amaranth cost share is limited to $500 for manual labor (not chemical control).
Applications are available in the office upon request or at this link.
Deadline: Monday June 15, 2026
All documentation must be received in our office by the end of the day. Prior to submission, please confirm that both the front and back of the application is complete, sprayed areas have been highlighted on a FSA (or similar) map, and copies of all receipts for chemical used are included. Incomplete or late applications/documentation may cause reimbursement to be delayed or denied at the discretion of the Logan County Weed Board.
